Have you ever heard someone utter the words "I hope so" but it sounded so negative that you felt as though that person had already lost credence? Hope is an expectation not an abstract idea that leaves you feeling defeated. Therefore, it cannot be cut off. Jesus himself told us in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." It is clear in this verse that the LORD has given us a written promise that his plans for us are good and despite our situation we should always trust his desired goodness. It does not matter how difficult our situation gets our hope must be robust and unshakeable. Trust in God's promise; moreover, let your hope arise.
